The leading online home, car and travel insurer is on the lookout for a Web Designer. The company set the benchmark within their industry for its creativity and user experience and he have the awards to prove it. As their business grows dramatically they’re looking for a talented Web Designer to take the next step and become a UX specialist.
The Web Designer role:
- Design and develop well structured, usable new screen designs for the company websites
- Create targeted email designs and templates to increase traffic to the sites and to communicate clearly with new and existing customers
- Design and develop new mobile interfaces
- Prototype online functionality and usability testing
- Actively seek out new online technologies/experiences and demonstrate potential benefits to the business
- Continuous development of the websites from a design perspective to maximise sales
Required Web Designer role:
- 2+ years commercial experience designing and developing web content
- Highly motivated with a strong sense of belief in creative ideas, plus the skills and confidence to interpret and deliver briefs to tight deadlines
- The ability to produce and communicate a consistent stream of fresh thinking
- High levels of information technology skills in relevant design packages and hardware, including; Adobe CS3-CS5 (Dreamweaver, Flash, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat) MS Office. An understanding of HTML 5 and CSS3 would be beneficial
- Experience developing cross browser compatible sites (including IE6)
- Thorough understanding of online technologies and appreciate the differences between online and offline design plus an interest and knowledge of emerging technologies
